“Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift” (Matthew 5:23-24).
Reconciliation is more than a precursor to worship.
Reconciliation is an act of worship.
I declare the worthiness of my God when I repent toward others or forgive them.
I respect His holiness when I refuse to presume upon Him by entering His presence with fractured relationships.
I offer Him gifts greater than songs and prayers when I offer mended fellowship and restored trust.
I submit to His authority when I relinquish the idol of having to be right.
I show I love Him by loving the broken people he died for.
Is your God worthy of worship like that?
