If You Stand Out, Be Ready to Stand Up

Standing Out

You lose the right to privacy when you fail to be ordinary.

If you stand out, you’d better be ready to stand up.

Spectacular successes and epic face-plants invite public scrutiny…

Divided opinions…

Loose-lipped speculation…

And endless reminders that people like you…

Or don’t.

The alternative?

Blend in.

Don’t risk anything new or different.

Goose-step with everybody else.

Never disagree.

Never dream.

Never make a hill-of-beans difference.

In a bland world, everybody judges salt.

In a dark world, everybody judges light.

Be salt and light anyway.

You may lose some privacy,

But all Heaven will rise and cheer you on.

Thank you for this article. I will be sharing it with my twitter friends, and also my FB ministry friends. It is an interesting road that the “stand outs” in life travel. One must dare to be different. Christ was certainly different, and so were the Apostles.
