2016ASE

This is a 2016 silver dollar.

It’s official, struck by the United States Mint.

2016ASE Reverse

When you look at the reverse it clearly says, “One Dollar.”

Try to buy one of these, however, and it will take about $20.00.

Why?

Because the ounce of silver is worth that these days.

And worth is determined by what someone is willing to pay for it.

You’re like the silver dollar.

Your “engraving” may say “ordinary,” “failure” or “reject.”

But your value lies in the price Someone paid to purchase your freedom.

That involves lavished riches

And glorious grace.

He says you’re worth it.

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.  It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God (1 Peter 1:18-19, NLT).
