The Serenity Prayer – a Rewrite

God grant me serenity to call the impossible, possible with You,

Vision to see the achievable in obviously-hopeless situations,

And wisdom to discern the difference.

Give me faith to boldly ask You for the unthinkable,

Courage to pursue the possible when all seems futile,

And patience to wait on You for the outcome.

And lest I be so foolish as to pursue the journey in foolish isolation,

Give me a sponsor to champion my cause and hold me accountable,

A protégé to pour into and to partner with,

And a friend, born for adversity, who sticks closer than a brother.
