When the Rain is Blowing

by Andy Wood on June 16, 2012

in 100 Words

Sometimes in our desperate dryness we pray for showers and get more than we bargained for.

Sometimes the rain comes sideways, and that umbrella’s pretty useless…

In weather…

In life…

When the rain is blowing, usually it’s every man for himself.

Survival’s the name of the game.

And that’s sad

If there was ever a time to hold together, it’s now.

If there was ever a time to embrace with grace, this is it.

Thank God for days when raindrops aren’t falling on your head, but blowing in your face.

Otherwise, you’d never know the Love that holds you warmly.
